Out of Officina

Inspired by her grandfather's vintage binocular case, the Corpus Christi native behind Officina del Poggio has updated the timeless, functional style.

If shopping were a sport, you'd be the safari guide.

It's all about the thrill of the find, so get a closer look at the spring bag you'll soon be coveting. Corpus Christi native Allison Hoeltzel is the creator of Italian-based Officina del Poggio, her line of super-luxe leather goods inspired by her grandfather's vintage binocular case. Stunningly chic, Allison has lived in Italy since getting her MBA from SMU, but she's in town this week for a trunk show. Carried by big-deal retailers like Moda Operandi and Goop's brick-and-mortar in L.A., her newest collection of purses and totes marries metallics, exotic skins and silk tassels with the functionality of the utilitarian case.

When it comes to fashion, you're a hunter and a gatherer.

Meet Allison TODAY, May 8, and tomorrow, May 9, at her trunk show at Sloan/Hall. Her line is also carried at Saint Cloud's River Oaks location.
