Planning a trip to Austin for SXSW? The hipsters at Austin Tidbits have scouted out the best free fêtes of the fest. So listen up.
Hear the adorable crooner Erin Ivey (pictured) at Austin Tidbits’ SOUNDS & SIPS event on Wednesday, March 17th, at Max’s Wine Dive, a downtown Austin offshoot of the Houston fave, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. You’ll be treated to wine, bites and sweet treats.
Looking for some SXSW-fest worthy fashions? Hit the brand new Free People boutique on Lamar. They’re welcoming the weekend with sets from Austin artists The Boo Who’s and others Friday, March 19th, from 12 – 5 p.m.
The adorable Gallery D boutique will have a Pop-Up Fitness Shop, and you’re invited to morning yoga classes designed to clear the mind and cure a hangover on Thursday and Friday, March 18th and 19th. Shop, sweat, repeat.

Celebrate the 10 Year Anniversary of the very-chic Hotel San Jose Sunday, March 14th. The night kicks off in their parking lot with a 7:30 p.m. outdoor screening of a documentary chronicling the life of the hip hotel, followed by a 9 p.m. performance from the legendary Barbara Lynn.
