There’s nothing glamorous about losing power. You’ve been wearing a baseball cap for days and eating tuna fish by candlelight. Head for the light (and the A/C) at some of our favorite eateries who are saying “We Heart H-town” by serving great fare with a smile. (Just be sure to make it home by curfew).
There’s nowhere cooler than the patio at Tiny Boxwood’s, especially with the lower temps we’re enjoying. Head there while the goodies last – they’re serving lunch until 2 p.m. and the espresso bar is open after that. (Located inside Thomspon + Hanson nursery).
If you need a sweet fix, Crave Cupcakes is serving their super-fresh treats during normal business hours all week.
Enjoy the flavorful specialties at Hugo’s for lunch and dinner this week, where a pretty pink Passing the Storm ’Rita awaits you.

Brasil Cafe is serving their entire scrumptous menu. The migas and chicken salad sandwich are always worth the wait.
Armando’s is open for dinner this week. Come on, we know you’re itching for a scene – and this is always the place.
Gravitas is offering their full menu at 50% off for rescue responders, and hosting their normal happy hour from 4 – 7 p.m. each day.
