Things keeping you from your next Mexican vacation:

1. Those darn warnings from officials about the dangers of crossing the border
2. Empty bank account
3. Lack of a boyfriend to “siesta” with

Put aside fantasies of blue water and fish tacos for now, and find some souvenirs right here in town. Shop girl, Chelsea Dreyer, is doing her part to reinvent Houston’s fashion scene. Fresh off The Find, she’s opened a Manhattan-esque showroom in Rice Village where she’ll sell wares from across the globe. Nothing’s cuter in Tejas than an authentic Mexican dress and the hipster accessories that go with it, so stop by her darling spot next week (details below) to sip margaritas and check out well-priced tops, dresses, bags and De Petra jewelry.

Maybe by spring, things will be looking up. Until then: Lip. Sip. Suck. (Tequila, that is.) At least you’ll look cute doing it.
