Steamy summer is the perfect time for a West Coast respite. (Just imagine what it would do for your hair.) File away our lesser known finds for your next San Fran fling. Weather or not, here you come.

SIP
You love those Houston Polo Club hotties – get the Cali experience at Tal-y-Tara Tea and Polo Shoppe. This polo club meets tea house is the perfect place to get a traditional English tea and rock a garden frock without getting mud on it.
Belgian Trappist Monks are said to be some of the first craft brewers. Sip on the sort of suds that catapulted this group into sobriety at the Monk’s Kettle. Open from noon – 2 p.m., the extensive list at this joint will have you spinning before your first beer.
Enjoy a cocktail at the Park Chalet Garden Restaurant, located where Golden Gate Park meets Ocean Beach. Bring your picnic blanket and some sunscreen and sip the afternoon away.
SAVOR
Looking for brunch for your bunch? Suggest Ti Couz located in The Mission. Nosh buckwheat crepes and French cider or take out a few too many of their signature sweet and savory crepes with a side of cappuccino.
Bet you didn’t know the best of Shanghai could be found in San Fran? Hit up the Shanghai Dumpling King and be sure to order the soup dumplings – you won’t regret it.

SHOP
Splurge and treat yourself to a custom-made bikini at Zoe Bikini. This suit shop allows you to mix and match the tops and bottoms, remove straps and add embellishments on the spot.
You frequent the farmer’s markets in H-town, now see how the produce stacks up at the Ferry Plaza Farmer’s Market. Open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, take a trolley car here and experience the regional cuisine and culture.
After your market jaunt, hop a ferry to Sausalito and grab an ice cream from Lappert’s to eat in the Town Square. Our suggestion: the Caramel Coconut Macadamia Nut.
Can’t get away? Experience the brand new weekend brunch at Straits in CityCentre, the Singaporean hot spot that got its start in San Fran.
