Let the games begin! Today marks the start of a month-long excuse to indulge. Fresh-baked cookies, holiday fudge, the awkward Secret Santa gift exchange at work – only a Scrooge would say no to these sweet tidings of joy.

Treat yourself – and those on your gift list – to a pecan pie baked with love. Created by Lilla Mae Boles, who was given the key to New Orleans in the 70s for her legendary recipe, it’s famous for finely crushed pecans and perfect crust. Sweet as pie Lilla worked for the family of Harris Schell for over 40 years, and now he’s carrying on her tradition by selling the desserts out of Austin. For $25, they’re professional wrapped and shipped to just about anywhere.

Just don’t forget to order one for yourself, because there’s nothing jolly about a flat tummy this time of year.
