Taking off a bra out of the sleeve of your blouse. Applying eye makeup while driving. We all have our special talents.
There are, however, some people out there who make our skills look a tad less impressive. Thanks to Muse and The Yarn Initiative, we can benefit from their gifted nature – while supporting a great cause. The program aims to give teens with emotional and substance abuse problems a positive outlet, by giving them the chance to voluntarily knit and crochet baby blankets for newborns at Ben Taub. The community conscious gals behind Muse are “hooked” on the cause, and they’re selling a $10 signature tote to raise funds. Or, for a $20 donation, you can pick up the impressively intricate baby blankets, hats, scarves and throws at the adorable boutique.
Don’t worry, the artistic talents of others will never overshadow your ability to recite the words to “Ice Ice Baby.”
