If the last time you went downtown was for jury duty, you don’t know what you’re missing. Here, three new hot spots that make the historic district a destination.

SIP
Housed in a former Civil War ammunition station-turned-Foley’s department store, Hearsay claims to be Houston’s first gastro-pub. We’re wowed by the building’s massive ceilings, original brick walls and antique Tuscan crystal chandelier. Girls: try the goat cheese salad. Guys: you’ve never seen a Scotch list like this. Print this for a free “Bar Bite” through December 12th (one per customer).

SHOP
Downtown girls are rejoicing – they’re finally getting a grocery store in their ‘hood later this month, and it’s totally gourmet. But even if you don’t have a list, you’ll enjoy Byrd’s Market and Cafe, offering fresh entrees three meals a day, created with locally-sourced products from the aisles.

SAVOR
This steakhouse out of Dallas is a tad dressed down for H-town. The first III Forks to be open for lunch, the white tablecloth eatery is attempting to woo female patrons with lighter offerings and female-sized entrees. Their luxe bar is just one more reason we love the Houston Pavilions. (Have you seen the size of that Forever 21?!) Print this for a free dessert with your meal through December 12th (one per customer).
